Today Mamiya Leaf announced a new range of digital camera backs; Leaf Credo 80MP, 60MP and 40MP. Leaf are known for delivering high quality resolution images and have now improved the capture rate, increased the exposure times and introduced LIVE VIEW on the LCD – a real bonus for all the Cambo landscape and architectural photographers.
The 3.2″ Hi-res LCD touch screen is slick to use with an extended touch display. The screen is wider to accommodate display functions such as the histogram without taking away the image space.
Faster capture rates demands faster transfer speeds, the Credo range takes advantage of using advanced Firewire 800, USB 3.0 and UDMA CompactFlash technologies.

Capturing objects and fine art requires a high quality engineered reprographic copy stand, a flexible camera system, a high resolution digital camera back, plus lenses to resolve the detail and good lighting.
RPS Repro System
The Cambo RPS System is a modular copy stand solution designed for maximum flexibility for high-end digital capture. A heavy duty reinforced aluminium column with anti-vibration, automatic end-stops, a fine adjustable camera arm can be mounted to the wall or used as a stand-alone solution fitted to a rigid steel base.
Fluid and easy to use the column is fully motorised with high/low and variable speed controls to prevent any operational movement.
The RPS can be used with a wide range of cameras utilising the fine adjustable camera arm. The arm is adjusted across the baseboard to compensate the depth of camera to the centre of the capture area.
Cambo REPRO Cameras & Digital lenses
WDS REPRO features a fixed body with integrated front and rear shift movements, both sides are without any swing and tilt options, to offer maximum precision in parallel position.
Lenspanels can be designed for precise Ratio or Magnification with Rodenstock or Schneider, in combination with a helical focussing mount. Lenses will be fitted with a Copal or Schneider Electronic Shutter (SES) system on request. The SES is controlled via a USB box to allow instant control and capture via a manually operated switch or Apple Mac. The Lenspanels are interchangeable and there are a range macro-adaptors which make it possible to adapt several magnification ratio’s in one system.
Digital SLW Interface plates are available for Mamiya Leaf, Phase One and Hasselblad digital camera backs; with Hasselblad-V, Hasselblad-H, Mamiya, Phase One and Contax 645 fittings. The WDS-504 ground glass back accepts 4×5 Anagram, Betterlight and Phase One scanning backs.
45REPRO-D features a monorail with a front and rear standard, without swing and tilt options, to offer maximum precision in parallel position. Lateral shift option is available upon request. The camera has two monorail clamps for a sturdy fixed position, a standard bellows and open interface options.
Digital Lenses are supplied with the camera from Schneider and Rodenstock, will be fitted with a Copal or Schneider Electronic Shutter (SES) system on request. The SES is controlled via a USB box to allow instant control and capture via a manually operated switch or Apple Mac.
Digital SLW Interface plates are available for Mamiya Leaf, Phase One and Hasselblad digital camera backs; with Hasselblad-V, Hasselblad-H, Mamiya, and Contax 645 fittings. The SLW can be connected to a Direct Adaptor Plate, Sliding back or Stitching Back. The UL-168 ground glass back accepts 4×5 Anagram, Betterlight and Phase One scanning backs.

During Focus on Imaging 2012 Cambo demonstrated the CS-Eris DSLR Video rig with the Nikon D7000. The CS-Eris was also shown on the Nikon stand which created a lot of interest for us.
So, why are we now promoting the CS-Eris rig with the Nikon D800 and D4? The reason for this is to show the flexibility of using a Cambo CS rig with the latest high resolution HDSLR systems. As we’ve stated in previous blogs Cambo manufacture ‘modular’ systems, so the CS system can be adjusted to the correct height to accommodate the Nikon D800 and D4.
Simply unlock the camera mount and adjust the height according to the camera body and lens being used. With the body and lens in place the matte box will be in alignment and then the follow focus unit can be locked into position.

Focus on Imaging proved to be a very exciting show for us and we have certainly gained a lot interest by demonstrating the X2Pro system.
Cambo UK are Mamiya Leaf dealers and this was the perfect opportunity to show the Leaf Aptus-II 12, 80million pixel Digital Camera Back and Mamiya AFD with the X2Pro for commercial shoots.
Some photographers recognised the X2Pro as they already own one and use it with their Canon or Nikon DSLR but didn’t realise you can adapt the Mamiya (Phase One DF) and a high end digital back – Leaf Aptus and Phase One IQ series.
Every studio has leses tucked away in the cupboard and you can now dig out your favourite lenses from Hasselblad (CF) and Mamiya RB/RZ, 645Pro and adapt them to the camera standard. Of course there are plenty of Schneider and Rodenstock lenses that can be used with the camera and we are now busy quoting to convert some of those lenses.
What is the price? Well, for a small investment of €1834.00 or £1559.00 you will get an X2Pro camera, bellows, camera mount and #0 or #1 lens panel. A new Schneider 100mm Apo-Digitar lens is €1011.00 or £860.00. Total kit cost €2845.00 or £2419.00, all prices are ex.VAT/Tax and delivery.
Of course it doesn’t stop there. If you have existing Mamiya RB/RZ or Hasselblad CF lenses you can save yourself a lot of money by purchasing suitable lens plate. Currently the Mamiya RB/RZ or Hasselblad CF version is €396.00 or £337.00.
There is an X2Pro Macro version at available for €1375.00 or £1169.00 and there are 2 dedicated lenses available, Schneider Apo-Digitar 80mm priced at €1011.00 or £860.00 or the 120mm at €1338.00 or £1138.00.

BVE 2012 was a great show and we had a very good response when we showed the prototype Cambo MFC-3 Follow Focus unit.
The video clips show images captured during the show. We used the Cambo CS-Eris rig with a Canon HDSLR and the final clips were captured using the Cambo Artes Boom with MPT-9 pan/tilt head with the Panasonic AG-HCK10 3-MOS HD camera head, AG-HRM10 memory card recorder.
The CS-Eris can also be used with the Panasonic AF101, Sony FS-100, HDSLR camera systems… in fact you can swap and change any part to suit your camera system. See the modular CS-Video rig brochure below.
